  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing Accounting teams
  • A qualification in Finance or Accounting (CA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards, including Australian Accounting Standards
  • Experience in intercompany accounting practices, fixed assets accounting, period-close procedures, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience in managing change, stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining team morale
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI)
  • Experience in working on ERP implementation and with Shared Services structures
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the implementation of process standardisation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. As a pivotal member of the Finance Business Services leadership team, this role is integral to overseeing accounting operations and ensuring precise financial information is delivered to key stakeholders.

Key focuses of the role:

  • Lead the Finance RTR (Record to Report) team on execution of accounting processes, supporting business management, planning, and decision-making
  • Oversee key accounting processes, including month end close and balance sheet reconciliation, to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Motivate and guide the team, focusing on development and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Improve the controls environment and efficiency of accounting procedures, whilst ensuring adherence to accounting policies and standards
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting accuracy and improvement
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Services leadership team to implement training and development programs
  • Assist with financial reporting, finance master data management, and financial year end external audit process
