QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with a significant focus on manufacturing and supply chain finance.
  • Proven experience building and leading finance teams.
  • Deep understanding of BOM costing methodologies, overhead allocation, and production finance principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Experience working in both industrial and technology companies with a manufacturing footprint is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly growing environment.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Finance to build and lead our finance function focused on manufacturing and supply chain. Reporting to the CFO you will be instrumental in establishing the financial infrastructure and processes necessary to support our growing manufacturing footprint and complex supply chain. This is an exciting opportunity to build a team, implement best practices, and drive financial performance in a dynamic and innovative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and Lead the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals to support manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Establish Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Framework: Develop and implement robust budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for all manufacturing and supply chain costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Costing and Analysis: Oversee the development and maintenance of accurate BOM costing models, analyze cost drivers, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Overhead Management: Establish and monitor overhead allocation methodologies, analyze overhead spending, and drive efficiency improvements across production facilities.
  • Production Finance Optimization: Partner with operations and engineering teams to analyze production processes, identify financial implications of operational decisions, and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and profitability.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures for inventory valuation, control, and obsolescence management.
  • Supply Chain Finance: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to analyze supplier costs, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize the financial aspects of the supply chain.
  • Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Analysis: Evaluate and provide financial justification for capital investments in manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analysis for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls over manufacturing and supply chain financial processes.
  • Systems Implementation: Participate in the selection and implementation of ERP and other relevant financial systems to support manufacturing and supply chain finance.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key financial business partner to operations, engineering, and supply chain leadership, providing financial insights and support for strategic decision-making.
