Position Purpose A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. The position is full-time and responsible for managing program finances as well as the logistics of the projects; procurement of materials and tools, facilitating coordination of volunteer teams to and from sites, tracking purchases and ensuring payments are made in an appropriate time frame. Start date ASAP Reporting Relationships Reports to Operations Manager Roles reporting to position None Approximate number of reports 0 Essential Functions Responsible for petty cash distribution, management and reconciliation. Work with the program team to understand and request appropriate funding. Daily, weekly and monthly expense tracking and reporting the program budget, both on program and to off program finance team, and support in managing program budget Assist the Operations Manager, Project Manager and Program Director with budget tracking and cash flow projections for the whole program. Schedule vendor timely payments and facilitate payroll for local staff in compliance with local regulations and local partners. Brainstorm and implement cost-saving initiatives on program Work with site teams and Project Manager to manage site logistics and relationships with local suppliers. In coordination with the project teams, organize regular tool and material inventories and tool repairs for all sites. Responsible for procurement of construction or field work supplies, tools and materials for all project sites. Assist with sourcing local contractors, suppliers, and rental equipment as well as procurement of medical and base supplies. In coordination with the Operations Manager, manage daily transportation and telecommunication for logistics, project teams, staff and volunteers. Maintain accurate tracking systems for purchased tools and materials on all sites. Perform other duties as required. Position Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Related Experience 1+ year of experience working or volunteering for All Hands and Hearts, or another disaster relief organization. 1+ year managing logistics and/or working in a developing country and basic financial experience Special Competencies/Certifications Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to secure and maintain appropriate visas. Fluency in at least one language/dialect used in the region of the project is required. Good written and oral communication skills (in English) and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets and Microsoft Office.. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Constantly works in outdoor adverse weather conditions Frequently moves items weighing up to 40 lbs on work site or on base Frequently operates computer Must be able to remain in a stationary position Regular driving and/or moving between base, suppliers, and sites Living in communal environment High stress situations in an immediate post-disaster environment with limited amenities Compensation & Benefits Typical starting salary is $850 - $1,225 USD / month, and up to $1,600 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
