About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this newly created Finance Manager role will own the core financial accounting function and help build stronger processes, controls, and reporting across the organisation.

This is a hands-on accounting role. The immediate priority is to get the foundations right: improve month-end, strengthen balance sheet controls, resolve accounting issues, and make better use of the finance systems.

You’ll lead the financial accounting function supported by a Senior Accountant and oversee an offshore Accounts Payable team, with responsibilities including:

• Drive transformation through systems and process improvements.
• Lead month-end close and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, journals, accruals and financial controls.
• Review management reporting and investigate variances and accounting issues.
• Oversee the Accounts Payable function and improve processes, controls and supplier reconciliations.
• Review complex payroll accounting, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Identify weaknesses across systems and processes, particularly within NetSuite and payroll.
• Support audit, statutory and compliance requirements.
• Coach and develop the financial accounting team.
