• JOB SCOPE:The role of Country Accounting Manager (AM) in the country with multiple locations is to ensure management of the various aspect and scope of Accounting and Finance, Cash Management and Treasury, Local tax and audit compliance.• To ensure that the relevant Monthly Financial Reports (MFR) are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the International Accounting Standards (IAS) and the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the local country requirements with support to GFO / GSC on all aspects of the Accounting domain.• Act as the Finance (in his absence of FM) and local point of contact and ‘bridge’ between the various stakeholders, in Regional Office and HQ HK office.To ensure finance and accounting, tax, procurement and local legal entity matters are attended to as required by the FM in a timely manner to meet the datelines set.• Responsible for all financial records for the locations, local accounting, tax and finance related governing requirement and meeting local reporting due date for MFR, local audited accounts, monthly VAT returns and annual corporate tax filing for the local company managing the locations as required by the relevant stakeholders.• Finance support function Partner with the local and regional management in all the information, data and financial results of the monthly reports required for local and regional stakeholders.• Ensure that the credit control process with debts collections and vendors management for all vendors plus contracts in the locations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures supporting the FM• Support member of the location finance and procurement team with the relevant stakeholders for strategic decision making on the business of the location.The AM is responsible for the complete Accounting and Tax operations above of the Business units in the Country covering.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Finance & Accounting FunctionAccounts Receivable (AR)Resolve AR issues with customers and oversee collections.
• Address GFO queries related to AR aging and attend to credit meeting.
• Issue e-invoices at month-end with the revenues matching and for AA updates.
• Issue intercompany charge back invoices.
• Accounts Payable (AP)Review AP Aging and advise GFO team on payment priorities.
• Process urgent payments as and when required and comply with weekly payment schedule.
• Follow up Procurement and Projects teams on outstanding AP items.
• Review & confirm intercompany charge back invoices
• General Ledger (GL)Review and oversee all GL postings from the GFO team.
• Validate accruals, provisions, and prepayment schedules.
• Ensure that the Monthly Financial reports from GFO are correct.
• Follow up on the outstanding items in the Balance Sheet for more than 90 days.
• Work with GFO/ GSC team to ensure integrity of the financial records, details of the management accounts and compliance of the country tax regulations on reports and document filing in accordance with the statutory timelines.
• Ensure compliance of Month End Closing / Accruals timelines and checklist to ensure monthly datelines are met for Management Accounts in Sun Accounting, Check SCM plus MS Dynamics 365.
• Cash ManagementPetty CashHandle and reconcile petty cash for Amiri Gate with the Accountants..
• Ensure compliance with petty cash guidelines for all locations in Amiri Gate.
• Review petty cash expenses across all locations and manage requirements for Amiri Gate.
• Cash Collections and Credit Card ReportsManage cash deposit cycles for all outlets, ensuring timely deposits.
• Perform monthly reconciliations with GFO to prevent discrepancies of cash and credit card collections by coordinating with all locations Accountants.
• Compliance, Taxation & AuditTaxationReview and submit VAT declarations to external tax consultants monthly from reports shared by Accountants.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and GFO for tax-related requirements as and when required to comply with the company tax returns and to process the payment of monthly VAT and Tax payments.
• AuditWorking with auditor and local team to ensure compliance with local and audit standards.
• Review the audit requirements from auditor together with FM to ensure timely completion of audits.
• Ensure that the statutory requirements of the audited accounts are complied with in accordance with the requirements of the company regulation and banking regulations.
• Financial Closing & ReportingMonth-End ClosingReview month-end revenue reports for all Amiri Gate outlets in accordance with GFO timelines.
• Analyse P&L for Amiri Gate and coordinate adjustments with GFO before month end WD3.
• Prepare and submit monthly accruals and provisions to GFO before WD5.
• ReportingPrepare weekly P&L forecasts for Amiri Gate with FM to be shared to Regional EMEA team.
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports for Amiri Gate on forecast for the following month with FM for submission.
• Submit monthly reports to AA to comply with the terms of the revenue share for rentals.
• Prepare monthly report for operations teams (including FTE and F&B cost per pax).
• Prepare and update reports as per HQ and Regional requirements, including airport rental reports with FM.
• Procurement & Cost ControlProcurementReview and approve all Check SCM orders with proper cost center allocation in the absence of FM.
• Work with procurement team to ensure accurate recording of good received and issued for inventory.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve reconciliation issues on payments.
• Banking & Treasury BankingLiaise with banks to resolve issues, new requests as and when required with FM.
• Request and manage MADA/POS machines for all locations.
• Issue bank guarantees and certified cheques for bid submissions.
• TreasuryManage monthly cash flow for Amiri Gate to be aligned with the forecast
• Handle interbank fund transfers with the PIC as required.
• Request funds from HQ treasury to cover cash flow shortfall from global sales.
• Other ResponsibilitiesApprove all OPEX/CAPEX PRs as first reviewer in Check SCM in absence of Procurement Manager.
• Coordinate project insurance, obtain quotations, negotiate, and finalize policies with Insurance Manager.
• Work with HR on outsourced manpower invoice issues.
• Approve and manage vehicle maintenance requests.
• Review monthly cost optimization measures for RSI and EBITDA improvement.
• Provide information required by the Regional EMEA / HQ HK Finance promptly.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education LevelDegree in Bachelor of Accounting / Finance or Management.
• Highly proficient in Excel, Words and Power Point and accounting, procurement and ERP systems..
• ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience, including 3 years in the GCC working in a finance environment handling the full set of account, tax and audit.
• Skills RequiredStrong team player & interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills with all levels of management, including external business partners.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, multi tasks and hands-on
• Self-motivated mindset.
• Have character of integrity and principles of TRIP / SET.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, and local language capabilities will be advantage.
