Currently, we are looking for a Finance Manager Accounting and Controlling in Dortmund, Germany who will report to a Global Controller for Semiconductors Business Unit and will manage a small team of finance associates who execute financial planning and analysis. Manages processes and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure planning and analysis maintain Littelfuse financial standards. Manages work activities, monitors the status of projects, and serves as an escalation point for questions. Ensures compliance with local government requirements.
About the job:
- Key member of the local Management team, expected to partner cross-functionally to drive decisions from a Finance perspective.
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly reviews, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget including analyzing all financial statements, explaining manufacturing variances (i.e., material, labor, overhead), communicating product line profitability, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and developing standard costs.
- Define the site’s short-term and long-term financial plans through business and market knowledge.
- Implement and maintain an effective internal control environment that produces complete and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations and applicable reserves such as accounts receivable and inventory.
- Point of contact for any applicable internal or external audits including US and Statutory
- Accountable for all local financial reporting (HGB), tax matters and annual reports
- Manage rental property activities including any related accounting transactions and tax activities.
- Develop, lead, and manage a team of 1-2 finance individuals.
About you:
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline.
- Strong technical accounting and systems skills.
- 7+ years experience in financial management and solid experience building in a production environment.
- Knowledge of German (HGB) and US-GAAP reporting.
- ERP system experience, preferably SAP, with a focus on the Finance and Cost controlling module.
- Experience in cost/manufacturing accounting including developing standard costs and reporting budget versus actuals.
- Understanding of statutory account preparation, including taxes.
- Sarbanes-Oxley process knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/processes.
- Strong communication in German and English and team-leading skills.
