Description

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality financial information and advice to the business including budget preparation and accounting strategies for presentation to senior stakeholders. 
  • Identifying, implementing and reviewing effective internal financial planning processes and controls 
  • Performing required financial reporting and standardised Abbott Structural Heart financial reporting – manage the analysis and communication of financial results for the division with clear reporting insights that add value to the business
  • Building strong financial and commercial awareness within business and partnering with the Country Manager in implementing sales strategies that have an incremental impact on market share gains and operating income
  • Defining and implementing best practice planning and control techniques in line with business needs 
  • Assisting marketing to analyse market intelligence information, including share results against share objectives across one of the Medical Devices more complex portfolios
  • Leading and driving new projects both across ANZ and Asia Pacific which help drive change and enable ANZ to be a leading organization in innovative thinking
  • Analysing, preparing and submitting new tenders and customer agreements – including monitoring contract/tender compliance from a pricing perspective
  • Supporting and partnering with Country Manager and Regional Sales Leaders to drive corporate agreements with key hospital stakeholders that add value to the business and protect long term interests of the business

Qualifications and experience

  • 5+ years of accounting related work experience, along with CPA or equivalent qualifications
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of business, finance and accounting fundamentals including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Working knowledge and experience in the Healthcare and Medical device industry
  • Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation and commercial acumen, 
  • Evidence of an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to simplify complex situations, synthesise, communicate and present complex information 
  • The ability to be self motivated, insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative with the ability to influence those outside your span of control
