Description

About ArborKnotArborKnot is a fintech investing at the cutting edge of the non-performing loan market. We acquire, fund and manage consumer debt portfolios across Australia and Europe, backed by institutional investors, with operations spanning Australia, Europe and Israel. We are small, fast-moving and commercially driven. Decisions get made quickly and people get genuine ownership of their work.

The roleWe are building out our finance function, and this role is central to it. It is a build role rather than a maintenance one: you will be designing and owning the processes that a business several times our current size will run on.You will report to the CFO, work closely with the executive team, and manage one direct report.

What you will own●    Monthly reconciliations across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions●    Management reporting underpinning cash forecasting and funding decisions●    Payment runs and banking across the group, with appropriate controls●    Invoice review and approval●    Periodic fee and revenue calculations across portfoliosAs those bed down, the role broadens across financial control, finance operations, treasury and FP&A, including consolidated group reporting, budgeting and forecasting, statutory reporting and audit, investor reporting, and business partnering with the executive on funding and transactions. How quickly that happens is largely up to you. We would rather stretch someone than hold them back.

About you●    CA, CPA or CFA qualified, or close to completion●    Around 3 to 5 years’ experience across practice and industry. The role will suit someone at analyst, senior analyst or financial accountant level looking to step up●    Confident owning your deliverables end to end, and ready to take on a full month-end cycle●    Advanced Excel and comfortable across accounting systems●    Strong attention to detail, particularly with high volumes of transactional data●    Clear written communication with external counterpartiesHighly regarded: experience in financial services, specialty finance, private credit, funds management or fintech, or a first move out of Big Four audit. Exposure to trust structures, securitisation or warehouse funding, and cross-border group experience, are all a plus.
