Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a CPA-qualified Finance Manager to provide end-to-end financial oversight across a diverse property portfolio.  Reporting to senior finance leadership and working closely with operational stakeholders, you will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and client reporting activities while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and internal controls. This role is high-volume and fast-paced, requiring thoughtful prioritisation, clear communication, and the ability to work autonomously while remaining deeply connected to a collaborative team based across Melbourne and Sydney. The ideal candidate is organised, solutions-focused, adaptable, and confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting * Prepare management accounts, accruals, variance analysis (Actual vs Budget), and portfolio reporting * Lead and support annual budgeting and forecasting processes * Coordinate month-end close activities within agreed timeframes * Ensure compliance with legislation, governance frameworks, and SOX requirements * Maintain strong internal financial controls and continuously improve finance processes * Partner with operational teams to provide commercial insights, contract advice, and risk analysis * Manage stakeholder meetings, including preparation of reports, agendas, and minutes * Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Education, Experience & Skills Essential: * CPA qualified * Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance * Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting * Proven experience in finance or accounting management roles * Strong business acumen and high-level financial analysis capability * Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office * Experience working within QA, WH&S, and Environmental systems * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders * Strong time management and prioritisation skills in high-volume environments Desirable: * Experience within facilities management, property, or corporate real estate sectors * Experience working in integrated services models (Property, Facilities, Project & Financial Management) * Experience supporting property portfolio services Workplace Flexibility This is a hybrid role based in either Melbourne or Sydney CBD (both centrally located close to public transport and amenities).
