Manager, Business Partnering Technology Finance Operate as a trusted finance partner to Business Banking Technology Influence strategic outcomes through insight, challenge and commercial acumen Do work that matters This role exists to provide trusted financial insight, governance and decision support to Business Banking Technology, helping leaders make informed investment decisions and optimise technology spend. Your work will directly support the delivery of critical technology services that underpin customer, digital and payments outcomes across the Business Bank. The team supports CIOs and Technology leadership by providing financial control, performance insights and forward-looking analysis. This is a collaborative, high-performing environment where finance plays a key role in influencing strategic outcomes through transparency, insight and challenge. Your role supports the Business Banking Technology portfolio, working closely with Technology leadership and stakeholders across Finance to deliver strong commercial outcomes. Your impact In this role, you will: Partner with Business Banking Technology leaders to provide financial and commercial support across BAU and investment spend Prepare and present monthly financial results and performance insights to Technology, Business Unit and Finance General Managers Analyse financial performance, key drivers and variances to plan, supporting informed decision making Lead key elements of the month-end process, including journals, general ledger reviews and variance analysis Develop high-quality, clear and impactful financial materials to enhance cost transparency and business outcomes Support the development of driver-based forecasts and plans, including identifying cost-saving opportunities Provide constructive challenge to stakeholders on cost growth, investment decisions and financial performance Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet Identify and drive continuous improvement across reporting, analysis and financial control Build strong relationships across Finance and the business to become a trusted advisor Contribute positively to team culture and operate in line with CommBank’s values and Code of Conduct We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Strong technical accounting and commercial finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes High commercial acumen, with experience supporting Technology teams considered an advantage Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders Advanced capability in Excel and PowerPoint Experience within Financial Services and/or Technology environments is desirable A proactive risk mindset and commitment to strong financial governance Professional qualifications (CA / CPA / CIMA / CFA) and a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline Working at CommBank At CommBank, we support our people with flexibility to balance where work is done, with at least half their time each month connecting in the office.
