Bankwest Finance provides strategic financial advice and performance reporting services to internal Bankwest customers and the CBA group.
Responsibilities:
This role sits within the Bankwest Finance Performance Management team who provide business performance information, financial analysis, insights, and support on the Bankwest business to support operational and strategic decisions. The team’s key stakeholders include the Bankwest Leadership team and CBA Finance teams including Retail Banking Services (RBS), Group Finance and Investor Relations . Our team is responsible for a range of financial matters that are important to our stakeholders, including:
- All aspects of the annual reporting cycle, including expense budget setting, plan loads, monthly actuals reporting, monthly forecasting and financial processes including manual journals and reconciliations
- Preparing time critical performance reporting for Bankwest, for both internal management reporting purposes and external market reporting
- Conducting benchmarking analysis against peers
- Performing analysis to facilitate decision making by the business
- Performing financial control work
- Subsidiary reporting including preparation of financial statement
The key responsibilities of this role include, but not limited to:
- Preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual results
- Delivery of insights and in-depth value add analysis
- Supporting business stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information to allow for strategic, well understood business decisions
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, and the annual plan
- Ownership of month end source data files
- Maintaining a high level of financial control and risk awareness, including managing the integrity of the general ledger and support with balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong and pro-active engagement with a broad range of stakeholders across the CBA group (for example, Finance and Business stakeholders across business units and divisions)
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on data and automation
- Contribution to a customer focused high performing and vibrant team culture, including ongoing knowledge transfer amongst team member
