We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager/Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning while leading the finance department. This role is critical in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and providing insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability in a manufacturing environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters/MBA preferred).
  • 5-10 years of progressive finance experiences with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production-based finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and financial modeling tools.
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards.
  • Manage cost account processes, including inventory valuation, production costs, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance.
  • Oversee cash flow management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial risk assessment.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance with IRS regulations, The Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual audit process, working with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations for cost savings initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including payroll and sales tax regulations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage capital expenditure planning and evaluate investment opportunities to ensure sound financial decision making.
  • Oversee financial systems and ERP/MRP platforms, driving automation and process improvements.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.
  • Support strategic decision making by providing executive leadership with financial insights and data driven recommendations.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance department capabilities and career growth.
