THE ROLE

Are you a qualified finance professional with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing financial operations? Are you ready to step into a hands-on role where your expertise can help drive business decisions and financial efficiency?
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our established manufacturing group. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will manage daily financial operations, support strategic financial planning, and supervise an Accounts Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the finance function.
Note: Office hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and Friday 8:00am–2:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and short-term cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Supervise and support the Accounts Assistant in their daily responsibilities.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit statutory tax returns, including VAT and Plastic Packaging Tax.
  • Liaise with vendors, customers, and banks on financial matters.
  • Assist in cost analysis, pricing strategies, and financial planning.
