About the role Expeditors is now looking for a Finance Manager with Nordic responsibility for Sweden, Denmark and Norway. This is the most senior finance role in the Nordics and combines accounting, reporting and compliance with business partnering and operational support. The role is based at the office in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm, and reports to the Regional Controller Europe (based in London). Job Description In this role you will • Own the monthly follow up of P and L per department, together with quarterly and annual reporting. • Drive the budgeting process and contribute to ongoing planning, follow up and forecasting. • Ensure accurate reporting and compliance related to VAT, employer taxes and corporate income tax. • Coordinate with external advisors on annual accounts and tax calculations. • Support internal and external audits with documentation and relevant supporting material. • Drive improvements in cost control, efficiency and finance processes. • Act as a business partner to operations and leadership, translating numbers into clear insights and recommendations. • Develop and strengthen routines, policies and internal controls related to financial reporting. • Lead and develop a small Nordic team Qualifications We are looking for someone who • Has several years of experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar, and is comfortable with broad responsibility. • Has a strong accounting background and is used to owning month end close, reconciliations and reporting. • Is confident in VAT and tax matters in Sweden, and ideally has experience from other Nordic countries as well. • Has experience with internal controls, compliance and audit support. • Enjoys a business facing role including budgeting, forecasting and performance follow up together with the business. • Is strong in Excel, for example formulas and pivot tables, and has worked with Power BI. • Communicates clearly and collaborates well with stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge. • Is fluent in English and Swedish, written and spoken Danish or Norwegian is a plus. • CPA, ACCA or equivalent is a merit, but not a requirement.
