Description
- Support G&A Mgr / Financial Controller in leadership and ensure followership of the Finance and Accounting team, ensuring balanced skills and development plans are in place. - Support Financial Controllership and responsibility for the entity and all branches. - Ensure effective commercial / business planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. - Monitoring financial performance, analyzing, and interpreting operating results, investigating variances, and evaluating their effect on the business. Pro-actively communicating results with recommendations for action. - Continuous review of processes and operations and making recommendations on methods to increase profitability using dynamic resource allocations. - Conducting financial analysis and preparing detailed financial reports and statements, lead monthly financial reviews with local, APAC and Fluke HQ management teams. - Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems. Design and improve financial systems and models. - Ensure the business is in total compliance with local and US rules and regulations, such as anti-corruption regulations (FCPA). - Ensure processes are compliant with US GAAP accounting and ensuring delivery of financial results to a precise monthly timeline. Hands on daily management of the accounting function with close management of all transactional accounting and the short monthly reporting cycle. - Communicate and ensure compliance with company financial and accounting policies. - Ownership of Japan specific requirements, such as related to Statutory Audits, Transfer Pricing requirements and administration of taxes (tax preparation, filling, and compliance with local tax legislation). Provide support for tax planning and tax risk assessments. - Administration and oversight of the Oracle ERP System. - Administration of payroll and benefits function and calculations. - Interfacing with internal, external, and statutory auditors. - Any other ad hoc jobs as assigned. 1. Either professionally qualified Accountant or equivalent, with a minimum 10 to 15 years' experience. 2. Previous experience of working for large multi-national companies. 3. Strong commercial business experience with the ability to be a partner to the business. 4. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to understand key financial drivers of the business. 5. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross culturally. 6. Can do attitude with a proven track record of results achievement, budgeting, planning, forecasting and demonstrated business acumen. 7. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures, and compliance regulations. 8. Proven track record in working capital management, treasury, foreign exchange, and US GAAP. 9. Experience of working with Oracle and Hyperion as a financial reporting tool. 10. Fluency in English and Japanese. 11. 12. Good Communication skills & fast learner.
