This role is responsible for managing the dealership’s finance and insurance operations, including structuring vehicle finance packages, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and lender requirements. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with customers to discuss financing options, explaining terms and conditions, submitting applications to finance providers, and following up to secure approvals in a timely manner. The Finance Manager collaborates closely with the sales team to support deal structures, maximize finance and insurance penetration, and maintain accurate records for reporting and auditing purposes. The role also involves monitoring key financial metrics, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, and upholding high standards of ethical conduct and customer service.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in automotive finance, banking, or a similar financial services environment, ideally within a dealership setting.
Strong understanding of consumer lending, finance and insurance products, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures.
Proficiency with financial software, CRM systems, and standard office applications, with the ability to manage accurate electronic and paper records.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure deals that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Clear and confident communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial information in a straightforward, customer-friendly manner.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with sales and service teams, while managing time, priorities, and multiple customer files in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail when handling confidential financial information.
Relevant qualifications in finance, business, accounting, or a related field; certification or training in automotive finance or F&I is advantageous.
Willingness to stay current with changes in lending practices, regulatory obligations, and Ford financial programs.
