Description
What it's all about The Team: We’re building a finance function that is accurate, reliable, and ready to scale. As our business continues to grow, strong financial operations are essential to supporting smart decisions, sustainable growth, and long-term success. This is a team for people who take pride in getting the details right while never losing sight of the bigger picture. We value ownership, collaboration, and a proactive mindset. If you enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and making a measurable impact, you’ll feel right at home here. Your Role: As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening and shaping our accounting operations in Germany. You’ll help evaluate our current setup, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead the successful transition of accounting activities in-house. This is more than a traditional accounting role. It’s an opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking, helping build a finance function that supports a growing international business. Your work will directly influence accounting quality, reporting accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. What You'll Be Doing: Monitor and execute payment transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. Take responsibility of the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB. Take ownership of the accounting processes of Jobleads and help bring them in-house. Work closely with external tax advisors on tax-related matters, including VAT compliance. Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Ensure high-quality accounting standards and timely delivery of financial reporting. Support multi-entity accounting activities and be responsible for the consolidation of all three entities. Book accounting transactions independently while providing oversight and guidance when required. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business in both German and English. Help establish scalable processes and controls that support future growth. During your first three months, assess the current accounting landscape, identify key challenges and opportunities, and develop a clear roadmap for successfully insourcing accounting operations. Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure alignment and a smooth transition. Within your first six months, lead the successful insourcing of accounting activities for the German entity and assume ownership of day-to-day accounting operations. Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and scalability as the business continues to grow. What You'll Need: 8+ years of professional experience in accounting or financial accounting. Strong knowledge of HGB and German tax regulations. Fluency in German and English. Experience working with multiple entities and/or consolidation processes. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. A structured, reliable, and independent approach to work. Strong communication skills with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset. Nice If You Have: Knowledge of IFRS. Experience with DATEV Unternehmen Online. Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems. Experience in a digital, international, or fast-growing business environment. The ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. Experience leading accounting process improvements or accounting insourcing projects. What You Can Expect On Board: Fully remote work - collaborate with us from wherever you do your best work. Flexible hours designed to support both productivity and personal balance. The freedom to choose your preferred equipment so you can work comfortably and effectively. Competitive compensation aligned with your expertise and impact. A diverse, supportive team culture that values openness, collaboration, and fresh ideas. Opportunities for professional growth through learning resources, training, and conference support. The chance to build technology that genuinely improves the lives of job seekers around the world. Memorable team experiences, from EU meetups to our annual company summer getaway. The excitement of a startup mindset combined with the stability of a well-established company. A role with clear ownership and visible business impact, where your expertise will help shape the future of our finance function. Close collaboration with international colleagues, external advisors, and key business stakeholders. The opportunity to lead meaningful change, including the successful insourcing of accounting operations for the German entity. If you’re an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining hands-on accounting expertise with process improvement and strategic ownership, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and help build a finance function that enables growth, drives operational excellence, and supports a mission that makes a real difference for job seekers around the world.
