Position Summary To support the rapid growth at Hex Trust, we are seeking suitable candidates to join us in the position of Finance Manager (Group Accounting & Operations). You will be responsible to lead core finance operations, oversee group accounting activities, and manage an offshore finance team, while working closely with senior finance leadership across the Group. This role is hands-on and managerial in nature. You will be responsible for day-to-day finance operations, group consolidation, and team leadership, while coordinating closely with Finance – Markets and the Head of Finance on month-end close, reporting, and controls. While the Group is undergoing an ERP transformation, system design and implementation will be led by the Head of Finance. This role will support post-UAT, go-live stabilisation, and day-to-day finance operations transition. Duties & Responsibilities Group Accounting, Consolidation & Month-End Close Coordinate and execute monthly group book closing, including: Review of entity-level financials Prepare group consolidation and reporting Coordinate book closing with Finance – Markets to ensure trading results and balance sheet movements are properly reflected in group accounts Ensure financial records are accurate, timely, and audit-ready Support preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting Team Leadership & Oversight Lead and review the work of a team of finance associates based in the Philippines Allocate and prioritise day-to-day finance operations tasks across AP, AR, expenses, and bookkeeping Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by the team Coach and develop team members, setting clear standards and accountability Act as the primary escalation point for day-to-day finance operational issues Crypto, Custody & Protocol Accounting Oversee accounting and reconciliation of digital asset balances, including: Spot holdings, custody balances, and on-chain movements Manage accounting for protocol-related activities, including: Staking and validator operations Token wrapping and unwrapping activities Stablecoin-related activities Record and review accruals, balances, and period-end adjustments relating to the above activities Coordinate with Finance – Markets on trading-related balances and movements, including review and alignment of trading P&L outputs with group accounting Ensure appropriate accounting treatment, documentation, and audit trail for crypto-related balances and activities reflected in group and statutory financials Regulatory Reporting, Board & Investor Support Support preparation and review of regulatory financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors Assist in the preparation of board materials, including financial summaries, KPIs, and commentary Support investor reporting and decks, including financial slides, variance explanations, and data validation Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information presented to regulators, the Board, and investors Support in monitoring regulatory capital, liquidity, and licence-related reporting, where applicable Systems, Controls & Process Support post-UAT and post-go-live day-to-day finance operations stabilisation for the new ERP Ensure smooth transition from legacy processes into day-to-day finance operations Assist in refining SOPs, internal controls, and reporting workflows Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within finance operations Audit, Tax & Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate service providers Support statutory audits, tax filings, and ongoing compliance requirements Maintain documentation to support internal controls and regulatory expectations Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines 6–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience Proven experience in month-end close, consolidation support, and team leadership Prior experience managing or reviewing offshore / shared-service finance teams is strongly preferred Hands-on experience with crypto, digital assets, or digital-asset service providers is required Technical & Professional Skills Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals and financial controls Comfortable reviewing complex reconciliations and journal entries Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, Workday, or similar) Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills Practical understanding of crypto custody models, on-chain transactions, and protocol-based activities Personal Attributes Hands-on, accountable, and detail-oriented Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, regulated environment Able to balance execution with people management Strong communication skills in spoken and written English; Chinese is a plus Willing to roll up sleeves and take ownership of outcomes Candidates who do not tick all the boxes are still encouraged to apply, those with less experience will still be considered for the position but with an adjustment to the level of seniority.
