ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Direct management and provision of first-line support to the Group Intercompany Inventory Elimination accountants, including reviewing work performed during hard and soft close periods.
• Primary support to the Finance Director & Global Process Owner in the month-end close and soft close process for PURP.
• Perform the Inventory Statutory to Management Reconciliation, investigate and explain differences across the two valuations.
• Lead the relationship with Group Finance Services (GFS) for support and feedback around the Intercompany Inventory Elimination and inventory accounting processes.
• Assist in the preparation of and provide expertise in inventory and cost of goods sold disclosures in the Annual Report and 20-F.
• Key role in liaison with External Auditors throughout the year to ensure a successful audit process.
• Own and perform relevant SOX controls in the PURP process in accordance with the SOX reporting timetable.
• Own and manage update of relevant Group Statutory Intercompany Profit Elimination GSOP.
• Advise on accounting and reporting treatment and processes on inventory accounting, PURP and provide other practical support as required by reporting units.
• Work closely with SAP & GVC Senior Functional Consultant and 3rd party provider on implementation of system improvements, new legal entity set up in GVC, projects relevant for inventory accounting and S4HANA.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Qualified accountant
• Significant experience of Inventory Reporting activities and accounting implications, including value chains, costing, stock in transit, material variances, revaluations and transfer pricing
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Understanding of consolidation mechanics and systems/tools.
• Experience of reporting under IFRS
• Proven leadership, mentoring and coaching skills in team management
• Experience of financial control and SOX frameworks
• Established history of delivering results in a large and complex business environment, with the flexibility to work collaboratively with various teams.
• Problem solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse and offer other solutions to complex problems and able to ensure objectives are met even when under pressure
