Finance Manager

An established international manufacturing organisation is looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of its Dutch finance operations and play a key role in supporting continued business growth.

This is a stand-alone finance leadership role offering significant autonomy, broad exposure across the business, and close collaboration with international headquarters and local management. The successful candidate will act as the financial backbone of the Dutch entity, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and high-quality business support.

The Opportunity

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the full financial function of the Dutch business. Your primary focus will be on controlling, statutory reporting, financial compliance and consolidated reporting, while also supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis.

Working closely with international finance teams and local leadership, you will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, maintain strong governance and provide valuable support to operational and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day finance activities for the Dutch business.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Own statutory reporting and ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Coordinate and support consolidated reporting requirements.
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Perform financial controlling, cost analysis and profitability reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, banking activities and payment processes.
• Coordinate tax filings and compliance activities with external advisors.
• Support tender processes, pricing decisions and business case evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting processes.
• Partner with operational, HR, payroll and IT teams to support business objectives.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar position within an international organisation.
• Strong expertise in financial controlling, statutory reporting and consolidated reporting.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP FI/CO.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Essential Requirement

• Native-level Dutch language skills are a hard requirement for this position.
