Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and balance sheet reviews
  • Prepare management, statutory, board and investor reporting, providing clear insight into financial performance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting, working with operational leaders to understand performance and key drivers
  • Deliver meaningful variance analysis and commentary, translating financial results into commercial insights
  • Coordinate tax compliance and reporting across BAS/GST, payroll tax and income tax, working with external advisers as required
  • Drive and support finance transformation initiatives across ERP, automation, reporting and financial controls
  • Support audit, lender and covenant reporting, as well as business cases and investment decisions


REQUIREMENTS

  • CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting foundation and commercial experience
  • Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, management accounting and FP&A
  • Working knowledge of Australian tax (BAS/GST, payroll tax, income tax)
  • Commercially minded, with the confidence to partner with operational stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with modern ERP/reporting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, Power BI or similar
