For our Client – an international manufacturer of embossing and stamping dies used to enhance the print finishing on carton, plastic, and glass packaging – we are currently seeking candidates for the position of Finance Manager / Independent Accountant. The company’s products are widely used across the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, publishing, and greeting card industries. In addition to embossing and stamping dies, the company also offers specialised decorating tools and finishing solutions. Due to the company’s dynamic growth and continued expansion of its operations in Poland, we are now looking for an experienced accounting professional to manage the full scope of accounting and financial operations for the Polish entities, while acting as a trusted financial partner to the Management Board and the Finance Director (UK) within the Arden Group. More information: www.stampsystems.pl Job Description This is a position suitable for an experienced Independent Accountant (Samodzielny Księgowy) with strong technical knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations, and the ability to cooperate effectively in an international business environment. The person in this role will report directly to the Management Board in Poland, while working in close collaboration with the Finance Director in the UK. The position combines the responsibilities of an independent accountant, managing all day-to-day accounting and payroll operations for the Polish entities, with those of a financial business partner, supporting strategic analysis and decision-making across the Group, contributing to process optimisation. Key Responsibilities Financial operations management: Handling AP/AR, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and cash flow management. Regulatory reporting: Preparation and submission of tax declarations (CIT, VAT), ZUS, and GUS reports; cooperation with banks and external auditors. Payroll: Preparation of payroll and calculation of ZUS contributions for Polish employees. Month-end and year-end closing: Preparation of financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), reconciliations, and variance analysis. Budgeting: Preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Polish entities. Process optimisation: Implementation of improvements in the ERP system (e.g. D365), product cost analysis, and process streamlining. Advisory and business partnership: Supporting the Management Board and UK Finance Director with financial analyses and insights for strategic decisions. Qualifications Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, ideally within a manufacturing or trading company. Knowledge: Excellent understanding of Polish Accounting Standards (UoR) and tax regulations. Familiarity with IFRS/IAS and ERP systems (e.g. D365). Experience in payroll and HR-related financial administration. Skills: Independence; Accuracy and attention to detail; Analytical mindset and the ability to anticipate the financial impact of business decisions; Organisational efficiency; Flexibility and adaptability; Ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Languages: Fluency in Polish and English (essential for collaboration with the UK HQ). Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; professional certification (e.g. ACCA, AAP, or equivalent) is an asset.
