Finance Manager – Job Description (Insurance Broking Company) Position: Finance Manager Experience: 2–5 Years Location: Pune Reporting To: Director The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the insurance broking company, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting. * Manage day-to-day accounting and finance activities. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts. * Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management. * Ensure accurate accounting of brokerage income, commissions, and expenses. Accounts & Taxation * Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. * Ensure timely GST, TDS, Professional Tax, PF, ESIC and Income Tax compliance. * Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities. * Reconcile bank accounts and monitor financial transactions. * Track insurer commission receivables and client collections. * Monitor premium remittances and insurer payments. * Maintain records related to brokerage, incentives, and insurer settlements. * Support preparation of financial reports required by insurers and management. * Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations applicable to insurance brokers. * Maintain documentation and records for regulatory inspections. * Prepare monthly MIS reports and management dashboards. * Analyse business performance, profitability, and cost control measures.* Coordinate with sales, operations, underwriting, and claims teams. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field. * 2–5 years of finance and accounting experience. * Experience in insurance, insurance broking, preferred. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance. * Understanding of IRDAI regulations is an added advantage. * Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel. * High attention to detail and accurac
