We have a great opportunity for someone to join our office in Manchester as a FinanceManager. Within this role you will be part of a fast paced, motivated team, servicing the UK operation and liaising with the wider accounts team across the JLG Group. You should have a strong grasp of SRA Accounts Rules and legal accounting principles, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Must have had at least 4 years working in a legal cashiering/SRA accounting role

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and experience in legal finance
  • Proven experience in client account management, reconciliations, and month-end closing
  • Experience with foreign currency and intercompany transactions
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    Only candidates with SRA knowledge and proven experience with Solicitor Account Rules should apply. No consideration will be given to unqualified candidates.

    Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the firm’s financial operations including billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management
  • Ensure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and other relevant regulations
  • Fill the role of the firm’s COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration) or advise the COFA on matters of Solicitor Account Rules compliance
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of client accounts to prevent breaches
  • Preparing monthly & annual management reports
  • Manage both internal and external reporting obligations
  • Assisting in the build out, integration and implementation of the firms accounts software into its CMS and wider ERP
