Due to an exciting period of growth, Kenny Waste Management are looking to hire a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in managing the Finance department.

EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working within a finance management role
  • Proven track record of working with tight budgets
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Fully conversant with accounting procedures legislation
  • Knowledge of how to produce financial reports
  • Understanding of business principles and practices

SKILLS

  • Highly conscientious, diligent and enthusiastic
  • Highly organised with an ability to manage own time
  • Must possess a great eye for detail and have an ability to analyse and interpret financial data
  • Numerate, literate and good interpersonal skills
  • IT literate with emphasis on financial systems
    Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The post holder is responsible for assisting with managing all aspects of Finance within the business to ensure Kenny Waste Management is financially successful. This includes assisting with budgeting and reporting on the financial performance to the Board of Directors.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Plan and manage the work of the finance function so that resources are effectively utilised and established timescales, procedures and standards are met.
  • Establish and implement procedures and standards for financial reporting so that all company financial transactions are accurately and promptly recorded.
  • Provide management, support and development to all teams and team members within the finance function.
  • Collate, prepare, review and interpret reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements.
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling the company income, cash flow and expenditure.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures within the business.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Keep up to date with any changes in financial legislation and ensure that all financial policies and procedures are up to date.
  • Assist with the production and presentation of financial reports to board members.
  • Assist with the production and review of monthly management accounts incl. profit and loss and balance sheet.
  • Ensure that the appropriate vision and processes are in place to ensure the long-term financial viability of Kenny Waste Management and advise directors on the financial consequences of proposed actions.
  • Investigate and recommend improvements to the company’s financial systems, credit and cash flow policies/procedures to contribute to improving profitability.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
  • Provide an external interface with banks and auditors.
  • Assist with financial aspects of contract negotiations and project proposals.
