The roleThis is a full time, permanent role within the Business Services team, based on site in Kewdale. There are no direct reports. You’ll support a part time Accounts Officer day to day and cover their work when needed.

• What you’ll doRun month end and year end end to end, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and reporting by working day 10
• Prepare monthly reporting with clear, practical commentary for the leadership team
• Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts and monthly cash flow forecasts
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and FBT returns
• Oversee debtors and credit control, including credit limits and PPSR registrations
• Account for inventory, including landed cost and stock valuation
• Manage foreign currency exposure, including hedging and forward contracts
• Build pricing, margin and scenario models that support commercial decisions
• Improve reporting through dashboards and automation

• What you’ll bringA degree in accounting, finance, commerce or similar
• 5+ years in a hands on finance role, running month end and year end end to end
• Margin analysis and financial modelling experience, with advanced Excel
• Experience personally preparing BAS, PAYG withholding, payroll tax and FBT returns
• Budgeting, rolling forecasting and cash flow forecasting experience
• Experience managing debtors and credit control
• The ability to explain the numbers clearly to people outside finance
• A hands on approach and comfort moving between detail and strategy in a lean team

• Highly regardedCA or CPA qualification, or working towards it
• Pronto Xi and Cognos, or another ERP
• FX hedging, inventory accounting or credit management experience
• A manufacturing, wholesale or distribution background in an SME
• Customer pricing and rebate analysis
• Exposure to an ERP upgrade or major system rollout
