JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team within our expanding business at Lancashire Farm Dairies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring effective financial management, and providing guidance to support business objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of financial accounting, planning, and cost control within manufacturing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in financial management or a similar role within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in cost control measures and budgeting processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the processing of ledgers - Accounts Payable, Receivable Nominal Ledgers & Credit Control
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organisational goals.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee quarterly and year end audits.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Improve existing processes to increase productivity and efficiency of finance department.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, delivering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively to optimise resources.
