Description

About Leed:

Leed is an Employee-Owned civil contractor delivering projects in metropolitan, regional and remote areas of Australia. We have over 350 staff with offices and workshops in Adelaide, Bendigo, Cooma, and Melbourne. We contribute to some of Australia’s largest sustainable energy projects, and deliver reliable, safe water infrastructure and road projects that serve communities around the country.

About the Opportunity:

With recent growth and expansion, including the announcement that Leed has joined JN Bentley, the UK contracting arm of the global Mott MacDonald Group, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance team, to support and drive financial reporting and commercial outcomes across the Leed Group.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional seeking broad exposure across the finance function. Working across the Leed Group and reporting directly to the General Manager Finance, you will be supported by a highly collaborative team while playing a key role in a growing and dynamic business.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of financial and commercial activities, contribute to the ongoing improvement of finance processes and systems, and partner with stakeholders across the business. It is ideally suited to a driven finance professional looking to step into a senior role, broaden their commercial experience and make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth and success of the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the monthly Group financial reporting and consolidation process.

• Review and challenge financial results, balance sheets and management accounts.

• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and commercially meaningful.

• Identify unusual movements, accounting issues and reporting risks and ensure they are appropriately investigated and resolved.

• Own and coordinate the annual external audit process.

• Act as primary finance contact for external stakeholders.

• Oversee corporate and Group tax matters.

• Drive finance system and process improvements (SAP, Workbench, Sharperlight).

• Build strong relationships with operational and corporate stakeholders.

About You:

• CA or CPA qualified, with 6–10+ years' relevant accounting experience.

•Strong financial and management reporting experience.

• Demonstrated Group reporting and consolidation experience.

• Experience managing or coordinating external audits.

• Strong balance sheet ownership and financial control skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Confident communicator, able to build relationships across the business.

• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

• Well organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
