About the role
An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join our high-performing Financial Control (FC) team in the Construction business at our head office in Barangaroo, Sydney on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be part of the Construction Finance team reporting to the Head of Financial Control, Construction and work collaboratively with the broader Construction Finance team to deliver robust and insightful management reporting that supports the achievement of the strategic, financial and operational objectives of the Construction business.

As the Finance Manager your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ownership of key monthly management reporting information in line with reporting timelines, including coordination and preparation of workpapers, analysis of actuals, forecast, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Co-ordination and preparation of other ad-hoc necessary analytics, reports and requests to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and informed reporting and decision making.
  • Ownership of management reporting information in our finance systems.
  • Responsibility for internal profit forecasting and reporting, including coordination of inputs with business, Region and Group Reporting stakeholders.
  • Ownership of half year-end and year-end reporting requirements in line with reporting timelines, including preparation of internal and external reporting submissions, preparation of supporting workpapers, and reconciliations, and responding to queries from internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase networks and allow for exchange of information.
  • Collaborate with the Construction business to embed our management reporting systems including identification of and involvement in improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the Business Services Team (Wipro) to manage the above activities and monitor compliance to Service Level Agreements within the Management Accounting area.

The skill’s you’ll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which include CA or CPA qualification.
  • Experience in audit, management reporting, financial reporting, financial planning & analytics, or a related field.
  • Property or construction experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability, eye for detail, as well as having strong organisational skills and the ability to reliably deliver quality outcomes in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop strong working rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, innovative and enthusiastic approach.
