JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Finance Manager who can provide operational support to the Director of Finance/HR in carrying out the financial functions of Little Black Pearl (LBP) and Little Black Pearl Art & Design Academy (LBPA). This position ensures accurate accounting, timely reporting, and smooth financial operations. The Finance Manager is responsible for supporting daily finance tasks, preparing reports, and maintaining financial systems. The Finance Manager must also be proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Toast, and financial spreadsheets to assist the Director effectively, and be capable of managing operations in the Director’s absence.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
· 3–5 years of nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management experience.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Toast, and financial spreadsheets.
· Strong organizational, technology, and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and HR/payroll practices.
· Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance staff.
· Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivables, and reconciliations.
· Prepare financial spreadsheets and reports for review by the Director.
· Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks and Toast.
· Assist with preparation of monthly budget vs. actual reports.
· Support annual budget development with spreadsheets and data analysis.
· Track contract compliance and vendor payments.
· Prepare audit documentation and support external audits.
· Assist with grant and compliance reporting.
· Support payroll and benefits administration tasks as needed.
· Serve as backup to the Director of Finance/HR during absences to ensure financial continuity.
