Our client, a leading south-west company, is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is primarily office-based, with the option to work from home one day per week.
As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting senior management and will be accountable for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the company’s finance function.

The responsibilities:

• Oversee the Finance team’s daily operations, delivering vital support to senior management.
• Implement a proactive approach to detect and resolve financial discrepancies identified and reported by the team.
• Develop and present comprehensive monthly financial reports, encompassing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT submissions.
• Support and contribute to the Senior Management by providing expert financial guidance that informs executive decisions and helps address company challenges.
• Supervise payroll operations for monthly salaried staff and oversee the payroll process for weekly waged employees.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with other departments to enhance communication and optimise workflow efficiency.
• Compile detailed financial packages for year-end reporting and collaborate with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit experience.

The candidate:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with proven experience within a similar Finance Manager role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with standard accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
• Possess thorough understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Proven track record in financial management, with a proven capacity to provide impactful guidance to senior executives.

This role would suit Finance Manager, Accountant, Assistant Financial Controller, Company Accountant, Group Accountant, Finance Business Partner, FP&A Manager, Qualified Accountant.
The role would be commutable from Exeter, Tiverton, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Exmouth, Dawlish, Cullompton, Crediton and Honiton.
