Description
The role We are looking for an experienced individual to oversee end-to-end finance operations, carry out financial planning and analysis, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and look to make improvements to procedures and controls. This is a sole finance position so will suit someone who thrives working independently and is able to get stuck in from the get-go. Responsibilities o Maintenance of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ledgers o Booking approved purchase invoices and reconciling production costs back to Salesforce/P&L o Issuing of sales invoices on a weekly basis o Cash flow management and credit control o Assistance with commission calculations for sales team o Calculate Managing Director’s quarterly commission and send to Board for approval o Monthly bank reconciliation and revenue reconciliation o Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register o Maintenance and reconciliation of Balance Sheet on a monthly basis o Month-End and analysis: ensure all journals for the reporting period are booked in the accounting system. Complete reporting packs for Board approval and investigate any differences o Inter-company reconciliation and reporting o Monthly payroll processing and payment o Pension: onboard new employees to the company’s pension scheme and upload monthly files for payment o Filing, submission and payment of relevant taxes (PAYE, VAT, P11D & corporation tax) o Lead the annual external audit and assist auditors with any queries in a timely manner o Assist Managing Director with the maintenance of the P&L and support with any ad-hoc tasks Experience & skills required: o At least 3 years’ of experience in accounting & finance o Solid understanding of accounting principles o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines o Able to work independently and use initiative to solve problems o Strong attention to detail and investigative nature o Ability to develop good working relationships with stakeholders o Excellent communication skills o Proficient in MS Office applications o Experience using Salesforce is desirable o Experience working in a similar industry desirable
