JOB OVERVIEW

Meller Speakman is a firm of Chartered Surveyors working out of offices in both Wilmslow and Whitchurch. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our dynamic team on a full time basis. We are looking for someone who can work from either our Wilmslow or Whitchurch offices (and/or hybrid). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and management, with a keen understanding of financial services and planning.
This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, both client and business related, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with regulations. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for driving cost control initiatives and optimising financial performance.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in financial accounting and management within a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing teams effectively.
  • Proficient in cost control methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, enabling accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification would be beneficial.
  • Need to be familiar with Xero.
  • Experience with Key Prime / Land Mark would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Be responsible for multiple VAT submissions (both business and client).
  • Prepare and process monthly Payroll.
  • Manage and undertake accounts payable processes (multiple businesses and clients), ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage and undertake multiple business and client income recording, ensuring daily inputting and accurate record-keeping.
  • Fee raising.
  • Client rental and sales demands.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organisational goals.
  • Conduct financial planning and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Lead budgeting processes, providing insights into cost control measures and resource allocation.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
