Key responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reporting packs.
  • Manage loan portfolio accounting, interest calculations, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee property asset accounting, outgoings, and capital expenditure.
  • Lead treasury and funding activities, ensuring adequate liquidity across the business.
  • Manage statutory compliance, BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with accountants, auditors, banks, legal advisers, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system efficiencies.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to support business growth, acquisitions, and investment decisions.

Responsibilities
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience within banking, private lending, financial services, mortgage management, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of loan accounting, treasury management, and property asset reporting.
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Proven experience managing cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax obligations.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
