Job description

As Finance Manager, you play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting business performance, and monitoring compliance within our Belgian entity. You combine operational reporting with strategic financial insight and act as a true right-hand and sparring partner for management.

• You are responsible for the accurate processing of financial data in our (accounting) systems (journal entries, bank payments, etc.)
• You assess project and service margins, hours, and productivity percentages.
•  You lead the budget and forecast process for the Belgian entity and ensure accurate and timely follow-up of the results.
• You prepare monthly financial reports in both the local ERP systems and GEA's CORE reporting platform.
• You analyze financial results and translate them into concrete, actionable insights for management, thereby actively contributing to strategic decisions.
• You act as a business partner and provide support with financial analyses, KPIs, and advice regarding profitability, cost structures, and investments.
• You manage cash flow and monitor costs, margins, inventory, and WIP, with a focus on optimizing working capital.
• You develop and maintain management reports and dashboards that provide insight into the organization's performance and support future growth.
• You ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, and internal financial guidelines.
• You contribute to the improvement of internal controls and the efficiency of financial processes.
• You are the central point of contact for auditors and other financial stakeholders.

Profile

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a financial or economic field combined with experience in a similar role.
• You are strong in Excel and familiar with ERP and reporting systems.
• You combine analytical strength with the ability to communicate complex data clearly.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
• You work in a structured and accurate manner and enjoy taking initiative to implement improvements.
