Description

We are looking for a proactive and organized Finance Manager to support the General Manager overseeing our Finance Department located in South Vancouver. This position will be responsible for leading and supporting the Finance team, managing accounts payable tasks, and overseeing daily financial operations, including accounts receivable and cash flow. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data, preparing reports for senior leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing finance policies and procedures. The position also requires identifying opportunities for process improvement, participating in ad-hoc finance projects, and performing other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY:

  • 3-7 years of supervisory experience in financial operations with a degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and provide feedback to a small team.
  • Hands-on experience in managing accounts payable, receivable, cash flow, and reconciliations.
  • Attention to detail in ensuring accuracy of financial data and reports.
  • Experience in establishing finance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Effective communication skills to explain finance concepts clearly to senior management.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and proficiency in NetSuite by Oracle ERP (a plus).
    The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000 per annum. Final Base Pay will be determined based on a few factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous leadership, training, mentorship, performance feedback and support to the Finance team.
  • Manage accounts payable tasks, including payments by cheque, international wire transfer, and credit card, as well any reconciliation and filing as required.
  • Responsible for managing the daily financial operations, focusing on accounts receivable, cash flow management, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for optimization.
  • Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior leadership for decision-making purposes.
  • Provide relevant stakeholders and executives with accurate and timely financial reports and analyses that support the decision-making process.
  • Identify opportunities to add value either in terms of streamlining processes, improving quality of information presented to senior management or preparation of new analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements in all financial processes and reporting, staying up-to-date on any relevant changes.
  • Establish and implement finance-related policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard the company’s interest.
  • Lead, and/or participate in ad hoc finance projects and initiatives.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
