Description

“A Company built on the idea of change.”

Yes, we know, those are big words. But perhaps it's not too far-fetched to call ourselves pioneers of the post-milk generation (watch out, oat puns incoming!), because after all, we invented the modern oat drink back in the 90s, and one thing is certain: oats, our undisputed favorite grain, are now the favorite among plant-based drinks, while our famous (or infamous) Barista Edition leads the pack as the most successful branded product among milk alternatives, making it indispensable in both trendy specialty cafes and the refrigerators of our fans.

From our Berlin oat headquarters, we sip cappuccinos and manage all activities for the DACH region and Poland. You can think of our amazing team and its various departments as puzzle pieces that, when assembled, form the interlocking gears that drive the plant-based movement. We want to inspire more and more people to adopt a planet-friendly diet, all with a wink and a smile, but completely without cows. What are we still missing? Well, quite simply: YOU!

YOUR MISSION

As a Finance Manager (m/f/d), you'll be part of our small but highly skilled Finance Department. You're passionate about working with numbers, processes, and projects, and you'll help us develop new analytical structures. Your boundless curiosity drives you to find the answers to every question you encounter. You'll have fresh and creative ideas for taking our planning and analysis to the next level. You enjoy networking and keep a close eye on all developments within the organization to ensure we navigate our successes.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Controlling

  • You are responsible for the figures for your business units: you prepare monthly financial statements, create reports, and provide concrete recommendations for action.
  • You check our customer terms and conditions, document them accurately, and work closely with HQ.
  • New products? New ideas? You evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, and work with the Key Account Management team to identify potential opportunities for our customers.
  • You are our point of contact when it comes to financial transparency and the evaluation of measures.
  • You analyze sales, margin and price trends at the customer and product level and identify key levers for management.

Financial Planning

  • You are responsible for creating the latest estimates and budgets.
  • You manage the forecasting and budgeting processes for the sales department, critically question existing assumptions, and identify risks and opportunities in revenue development.
  • You can easily adjust your level of focus: one moment you're creating individual cost calculations for items, and the next you're discussing the strategic development of the portfolio.
  • You combine detailed analyses (e.g., product calculations) with strategic questions concerning portfolio, growth, and profitability, and derive appropriate measures.

Accounting & Admin

  • You ensure that our cost centers make sense and that the invoices are correct.
  • You stay in contact with accounting, sales, and customers – and you never lose track of payment status.
  • You are the contact person for our tax consulting firms and coordinate the topics with your lead, the HQ and the DACH organization.
  • You manage things like car leasing, travel & expenses – or bring your own ideas to fruition.
  • You pitch in whenever there's something new: reports, processes, tenders – whatever comes up.

The Unkown

  • You will be involved in many projects that are not even on the horizon today – from tendering for services to new reporting systems.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the field of financial planning.
  • Ideally, you have experience in the FMCG industry; experience in the food retail sector would be the icing on the cake.
  • You have experience in project management
  • You are an expert in Excel and you also have experience with Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
  • You maintain an overview of complex topics and many parallel processes, and you demonstrate flexibility when things don't always go according to plan.
  • You understand how to present complex financial information in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and to derive clear recommendations for action for different stakeholders.
  • Your glass is always half full, and you are solution-oriented, assertive, and have perseverance.
  • You are a team player, have your heart in the right place and are highly motivated to make the world a better place.
  • You communicate fluently in German and confidently in English.

Whether remote work or daily work in the office (Berlin or Vienna) - everything is possible, provided you are willing to attend regular meetings at the Berlin oat headquarters and participate in our fantastic team events.

If you're now wondering what else we have to offer besides the perfect job for YOU and copious amounts of liquid oats, here's a small and modest list of wonderful benefits that await you at Oatly DACH & PL. Depending on your location and mood, you can customize these benefits to suit your individual needs and desires: Are you into sports? We support that. Do you travel by public transport or train? Worth supporting. Would you like the opportunity to discuss all the topics that concern you in private sessions with competent contacts from nilo.health, or to listen to various roundtables on mental health topics? Go for it (10 times a year)! Last but not least, we're a super cool, talented bunch of people who want to make a valuable contribution to the plant-based movement and a more sustainable world through our work. If you now think that wasn't very modest and are wondering whether we're delusional or just being honest, we can only advise you: Apply and find out at the next team event!
