In London, Bakkavor Meals employs over 2,400 people across three sites and a distribution centre in the Park Royal area. These sites specialise in making chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products and savoury accompaniments, and are part of Bakkavor’s Meals sector which has eight factories in total.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Senior Financial Controller, we are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager – Operations.
In this busy and exciting role, you will lead the management accounts function across all sites within a large / multi customer business, as well as directly managing a Business Partnering team.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Performance Reporting - To ensure that there is clear and accurate financial performance reporting in place (daily / weekly / monthly) and that Business Exec Team / Site Ops Team fully understands the financial performance of their business / site. Ensure that there are corrective action plans in place to drive and deliver the business performance required.
Rolling Forecast – To champion the rolling forecast process to provide realistic forecasts of business / site performance with clear and aligned processes and PIPs in place.
Control Environment – To review and develop the commercial and operational control systems on site ensuring they are adequate and are being consistently applied.
IS and Business Processes – To review the management accounting systems to ensure they are operating and are being used efficiently and effectively, and that the integrity of the information held within them is maintained. Review and improve business processes to ensure that they comply with the changing needs of the business.
Commercial Appraisal – Ensure that commercial proposals are robustly appraised, using sound assumptions and reflect the likely / range of possible outcomes.
Investments – Ensure that efficiency capital and non-capital investments are robustly appraised and are consistent with the business / site plans.
People Management – to manage the Management Accounts function. To recruit, lead, motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve personal development and continual improvement.
