About the RoleReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager Operations will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations while providing commercial and financial insights that support decision-making across the entire business.

  • Atypical day could include:Lead day-to-day financial operations, including month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls.
  • Prepare accurate and timely management reports and financial analysis for executive leadership.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and business outcomes.
  • Support strategic planning, business case development, and operational decision-making.
  • Processing of payroll and calculation of payroll related taxesManage compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, audits, and statutory reporting requirements.Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capability.
  • Support the optimisation of ERP and business systems.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable financial processes to support business growth.



Essential Selection CriteriaYou are an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting capability with commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.You will ideally bring:• CPA or CA qualification.• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.• 7+ years' experience in finance, accounting, commercial finance, or operational finance roles.• Experience working in a growing SME, technology, manufacturing, engineering, defence, or project-based environment.• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting skills.• Experience partnering with operational managers and senior stakeholders.• Excellent communication and relationship-building capability.• A hands-on approach with the ability to operate strategically while remaining engaged in the detail.• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is highly desirable.
