Tasks

Your to-do list:

  • Management and control of finance and accounting, as well as professional and disciplinary leadership of the finance department at the Brandenburg location.
  • Central point of contact at management level for German and English-speaking auditors and tax advisors, as well as for funding providers, banks, financial partners, lawyers and authorities.
  • Preparation and support for legally required audits by the tax office and the German Pension Insurance
  • Review and ensure the timely submission of all required tax, statistical and regulatory reports.
  • Managing payment transactions and ensuring the timely processing of supplier payments
  • Preparation and management of the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB), as well as the rolling cash flow management and the monthly reporting to the parent company.
  • Coordination of project-related billing with banks and project sponsors
  • Managing the annual budget planning, monitoring budget compliance, and providing cost center analyses for the line managers.
  • Further development of employees as well as optimization and digitization of accounting processes
  • Management of letters of credit and all advance payment guarantees
  • Supporting management through sound decision-making foundations, scenario analyses and needs-based ad-hoc analyses
  • Review and reconciliation of monthly intra-group settlements from intercompany loans between parent and subsidiary companies
  • Central contact person for business management issues of the parent company as well as close cooperation with the English group headquarters.

qualification

Your expertise:

  • Studies in business administration (specializing in finance/accounting/controlling) or commercial training with comparable additional qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a management position
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB).
  • Leadership experience and a passion for promoting and developing employees and teams
  • Experience in the introduction and/or optimization of processes and structures
  • Analytical skills, a structured work approach, and a strong understanding of numbers.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for change and development processes
