Description We are now seeking a full-time Finance Manager to join our company as a leader in the transportation segment based in Houston, TX. The individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance and accounting, leading close, billing accuracy, AR/credit, AP/carrier pay, cash forecasting, budgeting and controls. Your Mission & Responsibilities Planning, coordinating and directing accounting functions Provide monthly reporting, including file closings and budgeting Establishment and oversight of financial procedures Processing of A/P’s, A/R’s, Income Statement and Balance Sheet Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements Processing of payroll, bonuses and tax fillings Provide monthly reporting, including file closings and budgeting Work closely with the CPA firm General requirements 8+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Team leadership or mentorship experience (AP/AR/Billing of 2–6 people). Successful at multi-tasking and problem-solving Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion Very organized and detail-oriented Familiar with excel, word and industry specific software, i.e. QB’s Clear communicator; comfortable partnering with Ops/Sales on root-cause fixes.
