With turnover nearing £5 million and a reputation for excellence, the business is searching for someone who wants to make a genuine impact – someone who can be both strategic and hands-on.

The business are well established business that has been completely overhauled over the last few year to a modern and slick operation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Take complete responsibility for the finance department – from transactional processes through to month-end and board-level reporting.
  • Provide commercial and financial insight directly to the MD, influencing key business decisions.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure strong control and forward visibility.
  • Oversee and support a small, capable transactional finance team.
  • Be involved in the day-to-day running of the business; this is a role for someone who enjoys variety and ownership.
  • Introduce process improvements and scalable systems to support future expansion.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Background in an SME where you’ve managed the full finance cycle and understand the fast-paced, multi-tasking nature of smaller businesses.
  • Confidence in advising senior leadership, with the ability to simplify financial information for decision-makers.
  • A proactive mindset – you don’t wait to be asked, you step in and take the lead.
  • Someone comfortable being in the detail and rolling up their sleeves when needed.
