Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Productivity and Efficiency team at UCLH. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent analytical, communication and finance skills to support the Trust’s efficiency challenge.
The successful applicant will be capable of managing multiple pieces of work simultaneously, working independently and using their own initiative to problem solve. The post holder will work closely with a range of key stakeholders across the Trust, including Finance, Operational colleagues and the Performance and Innovation team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on the accurate and timely reporting of efficiency.
  • To work with wider stakeholders on the quantification and tracking of the impact of productivity schemes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Boards and Corporate Directorates on the development of efficiency and productivity.
  • Actively engage in work around benchmarking and a wide range of productivity indicators, communicating meaning-full outputs that have the potential to drive actionable insights.
  • Take responsibility for the reporting of the Trust’s programme of productivity schemes on a monthly basis, working with other finance managers to ensure there are appropriate processes in place to provide accurate reporting both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to progress the clinical productivity agenda.
  • To evaluate and analyse complex and contentious issues using analytic tools, benchmarking using Model Hospital, GIRFT, PLICS and other sources of healthcare data.
  • Use robust problem-solving skills to find and understand root causes of problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
