JOB OVERVIEW

Road Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to lead our finance operations. This role involves overseeing end-to-end finance tasks, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing expert advice to our senior team.
On a day to day basis you will also supervise the Accounts Department team members, ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing bookkeeping and general accounting duties.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, Annual Business Report and Accounts.
  • Managing the General Ledger and Balance Sheet.
  • Overseeing Credit Control
  • Addressing service charge queries by email and phone
  • Overseeing the Direct Debit run and the maintenance of the records thereof in accordance with the terms of Direct Debit.
  • Bank Account reconciliation and management
  • Preparing TAX and VAT returns
  • Ensuring regulatory and statutory returns of financial information are submitted accurately and on-time
  • Maintaining accurate and reconciled records of information for Nominal, Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Utilising systems (including Microsoft Excel) to pull financial information together in preparation for the Directors and Senior Management to analyse
  • Covering for holidays and absence within the department
  • Preparing and submission of Payroll and pension management
  • Managing Company Car and benefit administration (inc P11D)
  • Responsibility for the petty cash
  • Inter-company billing/journals
  • Overseeing and or Preparing the supplier payment runs
  • Carrying out prepayments and accruals
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
  • Maintaining spreadsheets for the department
  • Managing the department’s post.
  • Keeping abreast of and assisting to implement legislative matters
  • Preparing of all accounts to Year End and acting as Lead Accountant during audit (including all regulatory and company specific duties for this goal, e.g. dividend Vouchers, preparation of R&D costs etc).
  • Ensuring all “time imperative” deadlines for the department are met
  • Implementing migration from the in-house Roadrunner Accounts system to SAGE Intacct Accounts (including instructing staff in the use of Intacct).
  • Documenting all processes for purposes of cover and contingency.
  • Administrating staff pensions through the providers portal (presently AEGON)
