Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Griffith, NSW, responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of Rombola Family Farms Pty Ltd. Day-to-day tasks include managing budgeting and forecasting, preparing financial statements and management reports, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate accounts payable and receivable processes. The role involves maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as coordinating with external auditors and financial institutions. The Finance Manager will provide financial analysis to support decision-making, evaluate investment and cost-saving opportunities, and partner with operational teams to improve profitability. This position also includes supervising finance staff, refining financial systems and processes, and contributing to strategic planning across the business.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, management accounts preparation, and analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience with accounting and ERP software, advanced Excel skills, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to lead and develop a finance team, with effective delegation and performance management.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CA accreditation is highly regarded.
  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or a similar production-focused industry is beneficial.
