JOB OVERVIEW

SINTEC UK is a group of medium-sized UK companies operating in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering and services. As a dynamic group, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team and contribute to the financial success and sustainability of our group of companies.

EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential; a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Proven 3 -5 years of relevant post-qualified experience within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
  • Experience in financial reporting and control.
  • Experience in coordinating audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage systems) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Russian is an advantage, facilitating effective communication within our diverse and global team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular financial assessments (planning and analysis) to support strategic decision-making
  • Manage monthly accounts, analyse variances, and provide insightful commentary on financial performance
  • Review budget quarterly, provide detailed variance analysis, and offer actionable insights and commentary
  • Oversee cashflow management to maintain financial health and provide accurate forecasting
  • Implement rigorous internal audit procedures and maintain strong accounting controls to ensure financial integrity
  • Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis to support key business decisions, including cost management, pricing, profitability, and ROI analysis
  • Ensure that the company is compliant with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls
  • Lead key financial projects, including process improvements, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the finance function to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle additional financial duties as required, including special reports, project analysis, and emergency financial management, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to changing business needs
