Responsibilities

• What does it include?
• You are responsible for our budget process and rolling forecasts, and you regularly analyze plan-actual deviations.
• You will continuously develop our liquidity planning and ensure a robust cost center and financial structure.
• You prepare key performance indicators relevant for decision-making for management, investors and our board, and continuously develop our reporting.
• You will be responsible for our monthly management reporting as well as the quarterly reporting to our shareholders.
• You will continuously develop our KPI framework around SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, Net Revenue Retention or Churn and ensure a consistent definition and interpretation of these metrics.
• Together with your colleague, you are responsible for the preparatory accounting and support the gradual development of further internal accounting skills.
• Together, you ensure professional cash management, payment processing, and high-quality monthly financial statements.
• You will work closely with our tax advisor and ensure a smooth transition between management reporting and the German Commercial Code (HGB) financial statements.
• You optimize existing finance processes, identify automation potential, and introduce new tools and systems from selection to rollout.
• You understand finance not as an administrative function, but as an active contribution to the company's success and you contribute your own ideas to the further development of our organization.

Requirements

• What are you bringing?
• You have successfully completed a degree with a focus on finance, controlling, accounting or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of professional experience in controlling, accounting or finance - ideally in a SaaS, software or scale-up company.
• You are comfortable working within the German Commercial Code (HGB) environment and have experience in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements.
• SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, Churn or Net Revenue Retention are not buzzwords for you, but important control variables of a software company.
• You are certainly proficient in Excel. Experience with BI solutions, automation tools, and DATEV or Circula is a plus.
• You work analytically, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, but never lose sight of the pragmatic focus on the essentials.
• You have strong communication skills, enjoy working across departments, and can explain complex financial concepts in an understandable way.
• You feel comfortable with both strategic issues and day-to-day operations, and you pitch in wherever support is needed.
• Excellent German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written, complete your profile.
