Description
The Role We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations while providing the "why" behind the numbers. You will partner with our leadership team, manage day-to-day accounting, and drive the financial strategy for a scaling startup. While this is a remote position, it is preferred that candidates reside in the Chico, CA, Sacramento, CA, or Reno, NV areas and be able to meet onsite as needed for strategic planning sessions. Responsibilities Financial Oversight: Manage the month-end close process and ensure all financial data flows accurately between our ERP and external partners. FP&A & Modeling: Maintain and improve our corporate financial models, including cash flow forecasting and budget vs. actuals (BVA) analysis. SaaS Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators such as ARR, churn, and customer acquisition costs. Systems Management: Own the finance tech stack (QuickBooks, Bill.com, Rippling) and ensure scalable, repeatable processes. Payroll & Commissions: Oversee payroll processing and calculate sales commissions with high precision. Reporting: Prepare internal management reports and assist in the preparation of investor reporting packages. Qualifications 3–5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience (Software/SaaS experience is a plus). Expert Excel/Google Sheets skills: Ability to build and maintain complex spreadsheets and reports. Process-Oriented: A track record of taking manual tasks and turning them into efficient, automated systems. Communication: Ability to explain financial trends and data to non-finance team members.
