Tasks

• Take ownership of all finance operations—accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting—ensuring everything runs smoothly without micromanagement.
• Identify gaps, improve processes, and implement solutions proactively—if you see something that can be done better, we want you to take the lead.
• Ensure financial compliance and optimize internal controls without unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Provide clear and actionable financial insights to management, supporting strategic decisions with data-driven input.
• Offload key finance tasks from our Head of Finance, taking responsibility and driving initiatives forward independently.
• Work closely with other departments (Sales, Operations, Product) to align financial planning with business needs.
• Manage relationships with external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and banks with full autonomy.
• Support funding and investment activities when needed, taking ownership of financial modeling and business case calculations.

Requirements

• A strong finance background with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-growing company or start-up.
• A self-starter mentality—you take responsibility, make decisions, and drive initiatives without waiting for instructions.
• A problem-solving mindset—you don’t just report issues, you fix them.
• Experience with hands-on accounting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Familiarity with start-up dynamics, including lean finance structures and fast decision-making.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to create financial models that drive business growth.
• Fluency in German and English.
