KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher financial-administrative education (HBO);
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting roles, including at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience;
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures;
  • Experience using financial software (experience with Exact Online is beneficial);
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office;
  • Full proficiency in Dutch and professional working proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

ROLE

We are seeking a Finance Manager to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial record-keeping and reporting for Rewilding Europe Foundation and its commercial entities. The role provides vital financial and administrative support to the Finance & Operations team and the wider organisation by assuring financial and administrative support. The Finance Manager will take ownership of assigned matters and improve processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial administration and bookkeeping

  • Manage the financial administration of the Foundation and its two commercial entities;
  • Process invoices, declarations and credit card statements;
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable;
  • Reconcile bank statements;
  • Track bank deposits and payments;
  • Reconciliation salary and financial administrations;
  • Manage the finance mailbox.

Quarter end and year end close

  • Prepare financial statements and specifications;
  • Quarter and year end close including checks and corrections;
  • Provide audit support;
  • Support VAT declarations.

Financial planning and reporting

  • Support the preparation of financial reports for donors;
  • Support the financial control of the partner organisations in our rewilding landscapes;
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecast;
  • Collect and report on greenhouse gas emission data.
